- Our tax system taxes income, not wealth. This explains the lower tax rate of so many of the wealthy. They have no need to have actual earned income or salary like most of us. Instead we tax income.

- I echo Barry's comment and would point out further that the right of free speech is part of the U.S. constitution, and therefore does not apply to Israel or the various European countries that have made anti-Nazi or Holocaust denial speech a crime.

- Many people have only a cell phone, not a land line. Are you suggesting that if you are in debt you should have no phone? Interesting sentiment, but it wouldn't help these people get out of debt as you pretty much need a phone to find a job.

More navy, more nukes, same old Republican clat-trap. We need jobs and don't give them away to foreign countries as an act of charity. Charity begins at home and it's obvious we need a lot here, not give them away. I'm sick of financing other countries economies (2B to Brazil to develop their oil fields) while our economy languishes. Bring the oil platforms back to the Gulf and start developing our manufacturing base.. AND DON'T GIVE IT AWAY.
